** NOTE ** You must follow Factory Service Manual (FSM) PPF height adjustment procedures with our revised spec of 60mm +/- 2mm. OEM spec is 60-72mm. Due to the extra width of the heavy duty yoke of the Supermiata driveshaft, the PPF will contact the yoke if not set to the revised Supermiata spec. If your forwad yoke hits the PPF, simply lower the PPF adjustment until it clears.
How do you know if you need a new driveshaft? If you have mysterious thrumming and buzzing that increases directly with speed, the non-serviceable OEM U joints might be worn out.
Remove your drive shaft from your Miata, swivel the front and rear U Joints. Do they have tight or gritty zones in their movement? If so, they are worn out. The OEM driveshaft is essentially unbalanced even when new. That is a step that Mazda did not take. Our balanced driveshafts are simply smoother. Replacement U-Joint is commonly available #7260 Spicer.
